Mines the 02 ;D Ok i see what you mean now. But i think you're talking about LA, not La (La as in Louisiana, not Los Angles) lol. Most of the type of people here who you are talking about, are chicks. (No offense) but Most of the time, a chick doesnt need a truck as much as a guy. But i often see chicks my age thru mid 20's driving huge, 4door, F250 diseals. I mean really. I could see if they were a contracter or something.... and this goes for guys as well. Some guys at my school ahve the F250s and stuff, and most of the time they never use the inside space, much less the cargo area. Atleast with mine, it's small enough to carry 2 people comfortably, so no space is wasted (armrest goes in the middle). _______________________________________________ More pics!! ;D The tag hanging on my mirror, is my parking pass for my school in the senior's only lot. ;D Still w8tin on the license plate to come in.

Thats what i'm talking about, all these teens who buy huge trucks its just silly, and yea i meant Los Angeles, i don't know the american states so abreviations mean jack to me lol.
Glad you got the 02 onwards though, the other one must be really really unsafe.

actually the 01 is pretty safe considering those miserable crash test ratings. my buddy had an 01 RAM 2500 sport w/ V10 and he was driving to school when he was t-boned by a guy in a new yorker at a light(have no idea whos fault it was. he says his light was just turned green when he was hit).
Anyway, the entire driver's side was wrecked with the chrysler's bumper stuck in the driver side door, but all he had on him was a fair size cut on his arm and a bruised rib. i was more upset that the truck was totaled. he was gunna give it to me when he got his vette.

ty tiggz! Phil wouldnt a truck like this be illegal in the UK due to it not having amber turn signals in the rear? I say that b/c when i was there, cars that are also in the US but have red turn signals, had amber lenses instead. (dodge caravans, and especially BMWs, which had a amber bulb inside a red lense.) Just curious.

No, I've seen a few RAMs about before. Notably I've seen an SRT10 once and only once.

did a mini turning burnout today! =o I was turning off of a small road on to a bigger hwy at a stop sign, and traffic had just cleared, but there were some cars coming a ways off, so i decided to go (had plenty of time) but i turned right and hit the gas hard (but no where near floored). My right rear tire cut loose on a small patch of dirt that was ontop of the blacktop, started spinning. I didnt let up however and the tire reached the blacktop fully about midway thru the turn. Since i still had the gas on, the tire kept spinning even though i was just getting totally str8 and kept spinning for about 4 seconds total once on the tarmat again lol. It was goin pretty fast too, cuz it wasnt a deep screetch, but a high pitched squeal followed by a loud sqeak when the tire caught all it's grip back and stopped spinning loose lol. I looked behind right after it happened and there was a nice medium thickness blob of smoke dispersing behind me. My rear tires are pretty dull anyways, as they are the old fronts. My old rear ones were pretty much worn slicks (worn down normal tires) and the old fronts were put on the back, while new ones went on the front.
I know i went into alot of detail but hey it's the 1st thing near a true dry burnout for me lol =D
I actually kinda got scared b/c the truck wasnt speeding up as much as i wanted it to and even though i was no where near a car it was still kinda freaky lol.

Do yourself a favour Pat and don't do any full on dry burnouts, little peel outs like that are fine, but you'll wreck your motor, tyres, clutch, everything if you do what the guys do round here. They think it's cool but don't realise the consequence of such punishment to an unprepared motor or tyre. I imagine you wouldn't do such thing, but it's common place among people our age now. I've done some huge slides and things on my bike, but thats what it's designed for, it's very near a race bike on the road. People actually do take my type of bike straight to supermoto or dirt track events. P.S. burnouts on low grip surfaces are fine to, less tyre wear, less revs needed, less damage, but also less smoke.
I still look after mine though, it's had new rear brake pads and tyre, new spark plugs on it's way as is a new cover. Just filled up the oil and did a quick service to check my treads and pads are ok and I'll be greasing it up at the weekend to keep it running well.

Yea ur right. I wasnt planning on doing a full on complete stop, str8 dry burnout, but i dont even think the V6 is capable of doing so either. The closest thing though that that i would maybe even dois to do it on wet surfaces (after it rains etc.).

I didn't think you would, i know you well enough to know your sensible, just making sure you look after it I've been sensible most of the time accept when me and my friend went out cruising, him in his car me on my bike, where we had some very close calls with the law and other things. Was a great rush though.

! I love the F-150 and the Rousch performance version is just amazing. And come on the Dodge trucks are just too common anymore.
