Okie dokie, basically, when did you first switch to manual (if you have), and which do you find easier?? I switch to manual... erm... a few days ago. I can't remember exactly when (sorry, bad memory ) and I'm on 14% I'm finding it harder to control my cars, and I keep forgetting to shift down when I slow down or whatever... plus the traffic is a *BEEEEEP!* -_-

Manuals alot better when you don't have traffic (obviously it allows you to drift much better) obviously you need manual on atl highway, BUT in career or with traffic often having manual with everything else going on can be awkward unless you're used to shifting. Eventually you'll come to a point where it just sorta clicks and you shift right without even thinking about it much. Like for me, especially with my Skyline, I barely even glance at the gauges I can just see the turn on the map and I know what i'm gonna do before I actually get to the corner.
EDIT: I've been using manual since about a month after I first started on MC3, and I got it on release. So I've been using manual for what... well over 2 years lol. Plus I now use it on GT4, NFS etc. xD

Easy for some. Trying to get used to it (for me anyways) is a b****. I know what I'm meant to do, but when it comes to actually doing it, like shifting down, I forget to do it. IT'S SO ANNOYING.

I prefer automatic for career, ctf, ordered races, etc. Manual for everything else, but shifting takes some practice

i use manual for everything, i'm so used to shifting that when my cousin changes my set up for when he plays, i try to shift off the line and end up nos'in.

One thing that sometimes helps on frustrating races is to have something like 0107 when on st8s and then tune it to 000 around the corners, but that takes a while too

You can't seriously be that desperate on winning a race? lol the only races i rly had trouble with were the unordered cus i nevr knew the way. I did struggle with the sports bike races first time through as well, i strongly suggest using auto on a bike.

Skill rating is like an average of objects hit, races won, opponents hit, etc. When it's higher, the opponents get harder. on wcdzeus its at 120 or 130 i think, b/c of all the extra restarts, but on the new account its 159
